Antique brass taps in an aged, darker gold
Antique brass is our darkest warm finish, a golden-brown with an aged look, and all 24 of our designs come in it. It doesn't tarnish, so it keeps the colour you see in the photos. If you want brass that looks settled rather than new, an antique brass tap is the one to look at; for a brighter gold, see brushed brass.
Aged brass tapware: what "antique" means here
Aged brass tapware and antique brass are two names for the same look. Ours is made not to tarnish. It also hides water marks better than brushed brass, which helps around a basin.
Basin, wall and kitchen
The Vienna Tall (305 mm, for a vessel basin) and the Vienna Short (175 mm, for a basin in the bench) are the bench options; the Milano wall spout and mixer takes the tap off the bench, with a 192 mm spout. In the kitchen, the Porto pulls out and the Como swivels 360°. The Vienna, Milano and Como models are Lead Free WaterMark certified, and every mixer has a Citec ceramic cartridge in a DZR brass body.
Antique bathroom accessories and showers
For antique bathroom accessories with a consistent tone, the Provence 600 mm towel rail, Lille roll holder and Copenhagen hook match the taps. In the shower, the Corsica twin rail set or the Lyon ceiling head carry the finish overhead, and the Granada floor waste shows only a thin antique brass frame around your tile.
Antique brass door handles and hinges
The Santorini lever, Prague privacy lock and Venezia butt hinge take the finish onto the doors. They're 304 stainless steel, and the lever and lock suit doors 30 to 42 mm thick with a 60 mm backset.
Living with it
Clean antique brass with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry it; it needs no polishing, and harsh cleaners are the only real risk to it. Because the tone is darker than brushed brass, it sits well against timber, stone and coloured tiles. Antique brass vs brushed brass compares the two golds and caring for tapware finishes lists what not to use.
Every product here has the same cover: 15 years on the body, 7 years on cartridges, valves and moving parts, 3 years on the finish and 2 years on washers, seals and O-rings (tapware warranty). Taps and showers must be installed by a licensed plumber for the warranty to apply.
