BEFORE YOU BUY

How to choose tapware

Four decisions, in the order your plumber and tiler will need them.

Pick the finish first

Every design comes in all six finishes, so choose the colour once and it carries through the room. Finishes explained.

Basin mixer or wall mixer

A wall mixer keeps the bench clear, but its body needs 45 to 70 mm in the wall and goes in before tiling. A basin mixer fits one 35 to 38 mm hole.

Check the spout height

Leave at least 50 mm between the basin rim and the underside of the spout. Which tap fits my basin?

Book a licensed plumber

Taps and showers are installed by a licensed plumber. Taps, showers and wastes carry WaterMark licences, and the licence numbers are on each product page.

Tapware questions

What is the best colour tapware?

It depends on the room more than the tap. Chrome and brushed nickel stay quiet, matte black gives the most contrast against pale tiles, the two brasses add warmth, and brushed gunmetal sits between black and nickel; every design here comes in all six.

What are the standard tap sizes in Australia?

There isn't one size for every tap, so check the hole. Our basin mixers fit a Ø35–38 mm tap hole and both kitchen mixers a single Ø35 mm hole, while wall mixers need 45–70 mm of depth inside the wall (55–85 mm for the Cannes diverter).

Can my plumber install taps bought online?

Yes. Each mixer holds WaterMark licence WM-022467 to AS 3718, shown on its product page, and a licensed plumber installs it to AS/NZS 3500.

Which taps are lead-free?

The Vienna Short, Vienna Tall, Milano wall mixer, Milano wall spout and mixer, and Como kitchen mixer are Lead Free WaterMark certified in every finish. The product page says so wherever it applies.

Does the finish tarnish?

Our antique brass doesn't tarnish, and every finish is cared for the same way: warm soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry it. Acid, chlorine and abrasive cleaners damage the finish and aren't covered by the 3-year finish warranty (finish care guide).

Tapware Australia-wide: 24 designs, six finishes

We sell our tapware Australia-wide from one range: 24 designs, each made in antique brass, brushed brass, brushed nickel, brushed gunmetal, matte black and chrome. That is 144 products, and because every design comes in every finish, you choose the finish once and carry it from the basin to the bedroom door.

Modern tapware that matches across the room

The range falls into seven groups: basin and wall mixers (four designs), kitchen mixers (two), showers (five, counting the diverter mixer), wastes and traps (three), towel rails, roll holders and hooks (three), shower screen hinges, clamps and knobs (four) and door handles, locks and hinges (three). Shop by finish to see one colour across all seven, or by group to compare every finish of one design.

Designer tapware details: what's inside

The basin, wall and kitchen mixers have DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass bodies and Citec ceramic cartridges. Showers are brass and 304 stainless steel, the wastes are brass, and the accessories, door hardware and shower screen fittings are 304 stainless steel.

Five models are Lead Free WaterMark certified, with no more than 0.25% weighted average lead in the parts that touch drinking water: the Vienna Short, the Vienna Tall, the Milano wall mixer, the Milano wall spout and mixer, and the Como kitchen mixer. Each product page lists its WaterMark licence for your plumber; WELS and WaterMark explained shows how to check one.

Mixer taps and your water pressure

Our basin, wall and shower mixers, the Como and every shower are rated 50 to 800 kPa. The exception is the Porto pull-out, which needs 150 to 500 kPa, so it isn't the one for a low-pressure hot water system. Low-pressure hot water and mixer taps explains what to measure before you buy.

Where to start

For a basin, the number that decides it is the clearance under the spout: 75 mm on the Vienna Short and 200 mm on the Vienna Tall. Which tap fits my basin? works it out from your basin. For colour, tapware finishes explained compares all six, and the tapware buying guide covers the remaining choices, from spout reach to cartridges.

Delivery and warranty

Orders ship free to any Australian address, and in-stock items leave us within 1–2 business days. We also supply replacement cartridges.

Every product here has the same cover: 15 years on the body, 7 years on cartridges, valves and moving parts, 3 years on the finish and 2 years on washers, seals and O-rings (tapware warranty). Taps and showers must be installed by a licensed plumber for the warranty to apply.
